Eircom bids to curb broadband rival's 'monopoly'

They're going after the apartments in Smithfield and Parkwest in Dublin that Smart have an exclusive deal with to provide connectivity.

"The former stat monopoly claims its efforts to provide services to residents have been thwarted by Smart Telecom."

Use your FWA license then! I suspect they'll go after Magnet yet. This is why they want phone put down as an essential service, so Smart can't do what eircom have been doing for years.
