No, very unlikely, 15k is way beyond the limits of DSL.

You can check your number on Magnets site if you like anyway.

What is the absolute maximum distance you can be from the exchange?

15km in a straight line is kinda the limit for consumer type wireless , dsl in Ireland is about 5km .... which stick are you in ???

15km from an exchange seems an unusually long run. Are you sure you're not connected to a sub-exchange somewhere along the line?
Enter your number here (www.smarttelecom.ie) and it will tell you what exchange you're on.

    Hi Sponge Bob,
I'm just outside Castletownroche in county Cork. My exchange is killavullen and the distance when driving is 3.4 miles. So, as you can see I'm not banking on DSL. There is a wireless crowd through the group scheme coming to kildorrery. So, there is still hope depending on were they put the base station. I'm about 5 miles from killorrery and have a great line of site to the huge tower there. I'm praying thats were the transmitter is going to be put. If I don't get something soon though I'll have to sell up and move to broadband land because I need it for work and its costing me too much to travel to Cork Airport for broadband access. The situation for me has gotten desperate.

Are you for real! You'll probably never get broadband being that for away. :)
