Perfect Valentine's present from the council, the GAA are out on their arse and the Pride of Tallaght will soon be where they belong - in their own home.

    :D

Is the SDCC paying for this?

Do Rovers have any monetary input, or is this another example of The State giving them a dig out?

its not "our" stadium as in we don't own it much like the vast majority of the clubs in the EL/D1 they rent as will we, a lease will be taken for x amount of year, we started the stadium as in finacialy, but we ran into trouble and the council decided that the stadium would be good for the tallaght renewal

Theres 2 ways someone could take that
1 is i could ask for the seats you rip out everytime your there back or
2 i could chuckle and say been a while since you hired a groundsman.

The one thing you have to admire is Umbro moving in with their signs before the balliffs locked the gates!!

It seems like everyday for years that I've seen those signs when travelling past.

Yeah that was quite funny how it was the first thing that went in there. They have practically gotten a 5 year sponsor board!!!

As a long suffering hoop though, im sorry for my scepticism but I will wait until I am sitting there ready for kick off before I believe anything else about that stadium!

I'm sure a lot of hoops feel the same as well...

Lets hope Rovers get themselves sorted out and we have another club that will have a good stadium with a great atmosphere.

Can only be good for the league. Rovers do have a cache name.

we've a great catchment area up there lots of new fans to add to dublin's best supported club, as well as untapped football talent

Yeah right, oddly 4 senior internationals are from Tallafornia. Some of the best LSL players and El players come there too. Its well tapped only since Tallaght Town became SRFC youths has it dried up somewhat. But ims ure now you will have funds to get the youth system back on track it should work out.

Personal abuse is against the charter you all signed up to post here.
