Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sissoko needs to spend a decent time playing in the reserves. Whoops great
    tackle as I say that!

    Mike.

    Yikes! Senderos OG.................nearly! :p

Liverpool are forcing Arsenal well but I fear they won't turn good play into a goal.

    Mori please score! :(

    Mike.

Peno after some great play, give it to Gerrard.

    Saved!

harsh decision if he is consistant there could be another couple of pens in this game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,247 ✭✭✭✭Guy:Incognito

I was sure he'd let Robbie take it. Maybe Robbie told him he wants to wait and score his first goal into the kop:)

No offside...no penalty...and people say Man Utd get all the decisons at old trafford..

Very frustrating this, I can see Arsenal nicking it 1-0.

Lehmann much the busier keeper, Liverpool have run the half but where's the finnishing?

Arsenal would be 1 ahead already but for a poor offside decision.

two very poor decisions from the ref  thankfully Lehman made a great save with the penalty. and as for Senderos and his near og. another great save from Lehman

Arsenal just are at the races today. Liverpool dominating. surprised Lehman isnt being made work more

    Why say that?

It was never a peno. Fair shoulder to shoulder imo.

Pretty boring match. What is the deal with most of the big matches this season? None of them seem to live up to the hype.

And my aunt would be my uncle if she had balls tbh.

All too familiar pattern to the game with Liverpool dominating the first half. Poor finishing and a fortuitous penalty decision have only added to the frustration. Again Liverpool look tired and lack idea up front, with the final ball into the box not being that great. I can actually see The Arse nicking 1 and defending to the death. Having said that Liverpools defensive record at home has been the best in the premiership with only Chelsea managing to score a goal at Anfield in the Prem. Here's hoping for a better second half.

Aaaarrrgggh! This is so bloody frustrating:mad: Fowler has barely had a sniff, hopefully he'll be given better service in the second half and bang 1 or two in in front of the Kop.

Poxy sissoko, just managed to turn a promising attack into a defensive situation with Finnan caught up front. Bloody joker.

Kewell is looking like his old self for the most part, good to see him come through and prove the critics wrong.

    Lehmann saves again!

    Mike.

Bloody Lehmann, did he not get his copy of the script or what. Great skill from Robbie.

Lehmann is having his game of the Season. Another great save.

    Superb game

Have to say, Senderos is a terrible positional defender. He's gettign caught behind stikers time after time. (not that I'm complaining:) )

Edit, wonder how long martin Tyler has been waiting to work in that card gag?

where are the goals, knowing liverpools luck arsenal will steel a win with henry scoring.

Liverpool are absolutely all over them. I will be very unhappy with a draw, they deserve a win.

alonso off and hamann on looks like liverpool are settling for a draw unless alonso was injured

Looks like a precautionary substitution. Alonso has an ice pack on.

Bring on a couple of fresh legs. They look knackered tbh. Cisse and Garcia may cause Arsenal a couple of probs if they got 10 mins. Though I can't see it.

Why did Ciise not follow that ball to the death? Lehman was well outsid ethe box, so could'nt use his hands. A lucky break and he was throuh there, instead he pulls up like he could'nt be bothered.

    GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Garcia. Bout bloody time, should be 3 or 4 at least at this stage.

They are bloody blessed, they are an on form striker away from an absolute hammering.

Thats good strong defensive play from Kewell.

    Thank **** for Garcia.

Ashton Kutcher should leave now, I'm sure he has enough footage for his next series of Punk'd, and maybe we can have Morientes back.

Sadly there were none, poor game both teams shocking beyond belief. Lehmans saves the only thing that made it worthwhile. Arsenal were exceptionaly poor and pool well how the hell are they chasing 2nd with Crouch Mori and Cisse and a woefully unfit Fowler.

Deserved win for the Pool, but Jesus, they made hard work of it for themselves. About 25 shots on goal, but only about 6 on target.

I'd be worried if I was an Arsenal supporter.

Liverpool deserved the win. Lehman MOTM??

Arsenal have the one thing Liverpool don't - a decent front line. Elsewhere, they're in trouble.

That said, Lehman was my man-of-the-match.

Deserved win for Liverpool, don't think there's a single arguement to be made against it. But as someone said above, they made it hard for themselves, they had plenty of opportunities to win it before Garcia scored. I think Morientes' miss just before it sums up their form up front. I think it's more a relief than anything, because it would have been an opportunity missed tonight. Arsenal were there for the beating, they were awful. Liverpool would have been kicking themselves if they didn't get 3 points tonight.
