VC++ deployment

Can anyone tell me what the best way is to package and deploy (iow installers) for VC++ projects? VB6 has a Package & Deployment wizard - I need a similar setup. InstallShield is fine but expensive. Is there any freeware (or cheaper) alternatives? Pref one that builds by looking (amongst others) to the project makefile.…

InstallShield is fine but expensive. Is there any freeware (or cheaper) alternatives? Pref one that builds by looking (amongst others) to the project makefile. InnoSetup is an option, but I'd need to tell it the depencencies of the project, unless there is some tool that does this.

Any help appreciated!
