I've used Avbrief for the last few years with no problems.

However about two years ago the Irish SW radar started getting flaky and now seems to have given up altogether which is very annoying as much of our main rainbands pass through this area during the year.

For example have alook at the rain over Ireland at the time i'm posting this..the midlands and SW is just wrong...

Does anyone know of another one that isnt missing SW ireland, Net-Weather, Metcheck or are the all using the same feed ?

The Shannon radar is very contrary and I believe all the use the same feed. It's not showing on Net Weather at 2000 & 2015.

Actually, on closer inspection I suspect that this feed suffers the same problem, although the marked coverage area shows that the SW corner is covered.

Thanks lads, is this a UK Met Office maintained radar or an Irish one?

If its the same one our own Met Office uses am very suprised that the funding isn't there to fix it, surely the SW radar is one of the more valuable ones in the Irish radar network in forecasting terms?

The Eagle the other night confirmed that the shannon radar was giving trouble.
So its not AV brief or net weather or the UK met offices fault

You will have intermittent shannon regardless of which you use.

It's been dodgy for a year or 2, though I think off more frequently in recent weeks, so don't expect a quick resolve.
