    Hello All,

Im trying to download PQevalAudio-v1r0.tar.gz from http://www-mmsp.ece.mcgill.ca/Documents/Reports/index.html (from 2002 section).

I tried to download this using WINZIP but I get an error measage saying cant read header and the folder is empty.

Forgive my ignorance but what should I use to download the file?

    Thanks for any help.:)

use 7zip to unzip them bad boys. Unzip the .gz and you'll get a .tar file. Unzip that and you'll get your audio thingy.

Strange, I knew a good while ago Winzip handled *.tar.gz fine It opens the gz and notices there's another archive inside and asks if you want to open it.

It sounds like winzip's complaining because the gzip is malformed. But you may want to download it ("Save as") before it looks at it properly.

Anyway, yes, 7-zip is a good way to go. If you want a closed source solution, winrar (rarlabs.com) is a good one as well.
