    Some may be interested to know that the Telecommunications and Internet Federation are holding an event (22nd Feb) aimed at explaining how various wireless broadband technologies can enable SMEs to get high speed internet access.

    But the TIF is simply a respectable front name for O2 Voda and Eircom so one is likely to get a greasy spoon breakfast while listening to guff from those three . We all know what Meteor Voda and O2 charge per Kb on GPRS and nothing will change during OR after the breakfast.

    It's more about getting wireless broadband into businesses where landline connection's not really an option.

    in a modern developed country the breakfast would be about WHY its not an option ....even in Dublin .

    I suppose there will be some VSAT operators there to tell us that they have bent the laws of physics for their third world product designed for the third world and sold extensively in Ireland :(
