I thought this link may be of interest to everyone here.

I checked out the site, and they're offering 24mbit broadband with 1.3mbit upload and an unlimited cap for as little as £24 a month (only in certain areas of London currently)! you definately couldn't get that in Ireland. The area I live in is activated for it, though I won't be taking it up as I'm residing at university. Still though, that's pretty good. Imagine what it would be like if that were in Ireland?

Well Magnet uses ADSL2+ in Ireland, users are reporting that they are getting about 8m - 14m from the theoritical 24m.

As Sponge Bob once said, you would need to be living inside the exchange to get the full 24mb:) .

Are Magnet still offering 24Mbps? Last I looked it wasn't on their website.

It's mentioned in this PR: http://www.magnet.ie/news/27-11-05.shtml, but I can't see a way of ordering it online at least.

In fairness, Magnet charge EUR 240 a month for the 24Mb service, and it is capped, albeit the cap is (arguably) reasonable at 250GB a month.

£24, even with the exchange rate (euro versus sterling), is just a wee bit cheaper!
