Moving from UTV to Smart

    Contacted UTV and got DSL taken off line with help from'Carl' of UTV newsgroup fame - check

    Contacted Smart and all is ready to go their end - check

    Bizarrely have to get line transferred back to devil's spawn before Smart can take it up - applied for this on 2nd Feb. Instructions from Smart to let them know ASAP when I have a new Eircom account number.

    Just rang Eircom to find out what's taking so long.

    Biddy Eircom now tells me it will be FOUR WEEKS before they transfer my line from UTV to Eircom - is this a joke? Will it take them another four weeks to move when Smart contact them?

    Anyone else made this move? Does it really take that long?
