In their biggest coup to date, Acii Disco have managed to convince no less than Abe Duque to the Cavern, Dublin, this coming Saturday! A few things to know about Abe: He is considered one of the Godfathers of Techno. ABE DUQUE started his career already in 1988 and was resident at the famous Rancho Relaxo Nights during the heydays of Limelight NYC. He is a DJ / Producer / Diesel Mechanic / Furniture refinisher /Truck driver
He has recorded and produced under names such as: ABE DUQUE, KIRLIAN, THE
SUPER SECRET SYMPHONY, FACIL, RUNNING MAN,PROGRAM2 and released on well
known labels such as Gigolo, Tresor, Imago, State of mind, Warner Bros,
Disko-b, Oval, V2, Vortex, Sahko, Mainframe, Instinct, Tension, Abuse, Mille
Plateaux, Panther, Sonic Groove and Rapture. He founded Tension and Abe
Duque Records, co-founder of Rapture Records and founder of the supergroup
and label RANCHO RELAXO ALL-STARS.

Abe has released works done together with the likes RICHARD DORFMEISTER,
JIMI TENOR, BLAKE BAXTER, JOHN SELWAY, PATRICK PULSINGER, DJ HELL and MISS
KITTEN.

Recently he has finished producing DJ HELL's NY Muscle album and the
forthcoming BLAKE BAXTER Poetry album.

His recently released full length record " SO UNDERGROUND IT HURTS" on his
self-titled label, ABE DUQUE RECORDS, has been described as a journey
through the history of it all - techno, Chicago, Detroit, house, acid,
electro, even early hip-hop , you name it, it's there. From the times then
European electronic music (KRAFTWERK!) infected black music and musicians
and inspired them to create something new till today. Compiled from a series
of 12" releases including "What Happened?" featuring Blake Baxter, Abe has
been burning up the charts and dancefloors since last summer.

Abe Duque got much of his early musical understanding from his dad who was a
gifted musician and evangelical minister. Abe discovered Djing in the 80's
when he became obsessed with vinyl and electronic dance music production. He
bought his first synthesizer with money from his newspaper route and played
his keyboard in his dad's church.

In the early 90's Abe became the keyboardist for the then techno supergroup
Program2. In 1993 Abe made a decision to start his record label TENSION.
Tension has become a shining light illuminating the way for new paradigms
and possibilities in electronic music, and sometimes for twisted stuff not
even Abe understands.

In recent years Abe along with John Selway co-founded Rapture Records. Most
recently abe started a new label called out of all things Abe Duque Records.
And let us not fail to mention the madness that is Rancho Relaxo.

Abe is an intensively versatile artist. There seems to be no limit to Abe's
musical explorations while always keeping a unique flavor that's remarkably
refined and definitely his own. He can be categorized as a producer for
producers. A pioneer.

As a dj Abe has travelled the world to play his music. From his once
resident club Limelight in NYC to many stops around the globe recently
including The ENDs 10th birthday party alongside big names such as Laurent
Garnier, Mr.C, Erol Alkan, Justice, Layo & Bushwacka, Tania Vulcano and
Pedro Galante.
