With the release of Shadow of the Colossus today it got me thinking, have we seen the last great PS2 game? Looking ahead, there's Black next week which looks like a lot of fun but nothing really ground breaking. Then somewhere in the distance there's Final Fantasy XII and Suikoden 5, both series I'm hoping to see return to…

You are all quite right, towards the end of a consoles lifetime the greatest of games tend to turn up, unless you had an xbox, when the most striking stuff arrived at the launch, Halo and Project Gotham! Don't it was around long enough to allow developers to show a true understanding of coding the machine. The PS2 is the machine in my collection getting the most play a the mo, so many good games, so many 2nd hand games on the shelves for bugger all money begging me to buy them!
