Anyone know how to or where to get a cars rear badges removed and what cost as I want to cut down on the chance of getting broken into the house for the car keys.

Not long - 1 hour tops if your installer is on the ball.

PS One other deterant would be to position one of those movement activated lights above the car. (on the front of the house or whatever) It means that anyone who gets close enough to check it out will have to do so in plane sight.
