When one reports a post do all mods look at it, is it the same as reporting the thread, should we pm the mod for the board or report the post - its all very vague when or how someone should complain if they perceive a breach of rule has occured. Can this be cleared up ?

The reason I ask this is beacuse i recently reported a post in the fs boards where there was some disagrement - ive heard nothing since, shouldnt a mod at least pm the parties involved or leave a post on the thread so everyone know whats going on and that a mod has indeed looked at the thread in question

All mods of that forum look at it. Including SMODS and CMODS. Maybe they thought that your report wasn't worth acting upon.

this is only done if the mod in question deems it necessary to do so

    and yes
we all see reported posts so they do not go un noticed
