They were reminded that turning a blind eye, or taking money generated as a result of criminal activity, when they knew or suspected it was criminal, could result in them committing an offence under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

This has been pointed out to Comreg et al for years here and not a blind bit of notice taken

    ahhh yes, Band 13 .

Eircoms Extortion Practises in respect of Diego Garcia were detailed first in this particular thread , "€ircon in Cahoots with Porn Dialer companies" in 2002 . No action was taken by our police against McRedmond and Philip Magee, the head fraudsters in Eircom Retail at the time who took a massive margin over wholesale rates to rape their customers wallets. Comreg did something of merit about 2 years afterwards to block eircom fraud but unfortunately did not check EU law, some porn diallers are within the EU and cannot be blocked. Sri Lanka did the same thing Comrge tried to do ..belatedly...in 2005

The Proceeds of Crime Act in the UK operates differently to our legislation so we need a UK customer of Eircoms to ring Diego Garcia :p ....mind you the Brits have some cheek seeing as they themselves dumped the poor Diego Garcians in France and sold the country code to International Scammers years ago :(
