Will this or has this ever appeared on DVD?

I want, no, I need to get the Phil Silvers Show aka Sgt Bilko on DVD.
Preferably the whole series, something like 140 odd episodes.
I mean, this was the Fr Ted of its day, really well written, really good characters brought to life by wonderful performaces.
I remember watching this with my dad in the 80's in reruns on BBC2 on a Sunday.
Anyhow anyone know if it is out there in PAL format anywhere?

The Steve Martin movie is a crime against humanity, its even more tragic when you consoder its one of the last things the genuinely funny Phil Hartman did before his wife filled him with so much lead they could have pared down his head and used him as a pencil.

Well it will probably come to DVD eventually but you could still get bootlegged versions.

Apparently it is not nearly as well known or liked in the US as it is on this side of the atlantic so a DVD release is possibly not going to happen anytime soon.

I've looked for it on DVD with no joy at all and as JohnR said, the yanks never got it, so a re-issue to disc is unlikely

Well a selection of episodes (better than nothing) are being released on the other side of the atlantic later this year (may 9th) so hopefully they'll hit this side after that

I thought I saw some mail order company on the other side of the pond selling it in a part work thingy a while back, but it is some of the best stuff I have ever watched, perhaps the Fr Ted of its day, reckon the military was a bit of a sacred cow back in those days. And thats fro watching it recently, not rose tinted specs.
