headunit wont accept cd's

Lo all, Im having a weird problem with my cd player, it will eject cds ok but wont accept them.... as in when I slide a cd into the slot usually the player drags it in and starts playing it but now it doesnt drag the cd in anymore, any ideas? ways to fix it? Thanks.
