Highlight of the day was chanting 'virgins' at the Clongowes stand.

You'll probably get a better discussion here to be honest....

I think we've all posted there already...

Well its a slightly more relevant forum than here.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,255 ✭✭✭anonymous_joe

But what else is UCD about than arrogant young bastardsm like ourselves going to watch our old schools play rugby in Donnybrook, followed by pints in Kiely's and so on so forth. :D

Well thankfully, you're in the minority.

Tongue was firmly in cheek there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,798 ✭✭✭Funky

Probably about 65/70% of people from Michaels go to UCD so I'd imagine this would be an ok place to post.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,255 ✭✭✭anonymous_joe

Ah in fairness Funky it's closer to half...

    As was mine.

There's a thread for it in the rugby forum. I was just pointing out that those with an interest would probably get a better discussion there because there haven't been many that use this board who have shown much of an interest in schools rugby. Just because a high percentage of Michael's went to UCD doesn't mean they all use boards.

Also, before anyone starts cries of "over-moderating" (eh, Funky :p ) I had no intention of locking or deleting the thread.

    'Twas just an observation.

Just going from what people from other years say to me, and by how many from my year went.

edit: No crying here, it's a nice change from GRRR fight teh powah political talk though

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,255 ✭✭✭anonymous_joe

    Sorry for doubting ya Peachy.

Funky, you're probably right, most of us wind up in UCD anyway, but my year was stupider and lazier.:)

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,169 ✭✭✭✭Sangre

Its closer to 75% of people go to UCD. Its how a year of 80 is one of the top feeder schools for UCD.

Anyway that was probably the most nerve wrecking, heart straining match I've ever seen (except the last one against Clongowes). Great kicking from Reed especially after the first terrible attempt.
We really shouldn't have let them come that close and should have put a lot more points on them. Not enough to the backline used.

I've never, ever seen a winger burnt so badly. Brophy..you legend.

    March the 2nd...

    That in Donnybrook or what?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,169 ✭✭✭✭Sangre

Lets hope so. 5 minutes from the school, UCD and beside Kielys.

Kiely's was full of Clongowes people yesterday. Well disappointing.

Anyone know about the Gonzaga match, score there?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,798 ✭✭✭Funky

Someone on the bus told me Belvo won, didn't say the score though.
