Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Im having a probem getting windows XP to boot up on my PC at home. Occasionally after a number of tries it will boot up using safe mode but I cant seem to isolate the problem.

Would it be a virus or a wor causing the problem? Also is ther a way of viewing the boot log in windows so that maybe I can see if an application that is loaded upon startup is causing startup to freeze.

    Thanks

    Event Viewer may help.

Can you clarify: Does it boot OK in safe mode every time or only sometimes?

1/ What error message do you get - when booting ? if blue screen with text, > then>

2/boot > in safe mode, locate my computer icon, double click on it, then right click on the C drive, properties> tools tab, check now disk for errors. Reboot.

3/ failing that, use the reinstalling disk, but backup files in safe mode first.
