Looking online there are loads of american sites have recipies recommending "liquid smoke" for an authentic bbq flavour without the bbq.

Some of them look lovely but havent seen this flavouring anywhere here, has anyone got a source that will deliver to Ireland ?

That foodie gift shop on George's Street, Dublin - "Oil and Vinegar" was selling liquid smoke at Christmas time anyway. Might be worth trying there. I got a bottle of Hickory and a bottle of Mesquite. Around a three quid
per bottle. It lasts ages, so it pretty good value.

That Oil & Vinegar shop seems to have closed down. Anyone know of another place that sells liquid smoke?

You can get it on ebay, which is where I eventually got it.
