Audio editor to remove silence before bonus tracks on cd

Just wondering if such a thing exists? I generally wouldn't import the last song of a cd if the last tune had minutes of silence before a bonus track of some sort. Is there anything out there designed for the task on mp3 and m4a files?

    Thanks.

I realise this isn't strictly a player question but I felt this was the most relevant place to put this.

    Audacity perhaps?

I'd suggest CoolEdit (Adobe Audition)... but it's not free.

Audacity is a good alternative alright.

I just use Sound Recorder. I convert the mp3 to a wave , open it in Sound Recorder and then cut out what I don't want. Then I convert it back to mp3. To convert I use the converting program I got with my Creative.
