    Any idea how often the timing belt needs to be done on an Opel Tigra.

    i would say every 50k to be safe, generally its around this for 1.4 engines

    At least every 40k miles, and should get full t-belt kit and waterpump
    also, servicebook says 80k miles on belt but few lasted anywhere near that figure.

    Most Opels are non interference engines
    this means that if the belt snaps the pisons wont mash into the valves
    but to be on the safe side id say 50k is the interval
