Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Tripe? read the top of the page for a full on denial that it was Liverpool fans. great tripe that when my post is verified in the same page on here!!
Yep, tripe. Some people want to argue that they're not fans of liverpool/football but just sub-humane thugs. Most likely they were wearing liverpool t-shirts and I wish disowning and disasociating the club from people capable of doing things like that was a straightforward matter. It's not however as simple as saying "they're not really fans", which is upsetting for a lot of people as the vast majority of most fans from most clubs are respectable people. The associatioin will still be there.

Anyway, I'll stick by my tripe remark.

Well as I understand it SheffWed currently get around 23k per game in 'Div2'. By comparison when ManU were relegated in the 70's they pulling average attendances 48k the season they spent in Div2. But they (and comparable clubs like Liverpool) don't have 'real support' according to you?

Who do you support? if you read back I was commentating on a suggestion that Shef Wed have only 6 supporters. As you have shown there is on average 23k supports at Championship games. Now how many other clubs outside the PL can say this?

Also I didnt say Utd etc dont have real support! I said that they have alot of bandwagon supporters because they are top or winning something! as soon as Liverpool won teh CL last season we suddenly had a load of people on here with that stupid YNWA posts!!! everyone was all of a sudden a Liverpool supporter!!! are these "real" fans?

What does it matter who I support? As for comparing your 23k to other clubs, how many clubs outside the premiership have a 40,000 seat ground in city of 520,000 people?

Well whats your point then? You seem to claim superiority because your team has 20000 'real' fans and no glory hunters compared to other teams that have 40000 'real' fans plus 'x' amount gloryhunters that one can fit into their ground plus 'y' amount of gloryhunters (that'll never see 'their' team outside of a pub) coming onto boards.ie to annoy you.
Maybe they do, go over and ask them if you like!!

Nah I'll leave that to you since you're so proud of that meaningless statistic you quoted in the first place.

The only way to solve this is to dock Chelsea 20 points, kick them out of the CL and ban them from making transfers for a year.

Well was wondering because you just seem to come onto a thread to attack people. First of all was your "comments" on Best and then I mention Shef Wed as a joke and you start crying about that?? you not getting enough attention?

When did I claim that I was superior? again read the thread, someone implied there was only 6 supporters so I pointed out there was more. Are you not allowed to answer peeople posts in here unless we clear it with you? you have a chip on your shoulder or something against people mentioning there clubs on a public forum? if so I would suggest to stay away from here. There is people on hear and whisper it that support other teams than the big 3-4 in PL. I even seen a Milan fan on here:eek: how dare he post about Milan!

lads i think the sheffielf comment "their 2 fans" was a joke, might want to cool off getting wound up about it, that'll get the thread losed and/or people banned for flaming

to yop about the GAA remember
Then there was the incident a few years ago when a Wicklow GAA referee was locked in a car boot - which has since become part of GAA folklore.
i've never heard of an act like that in soccer

these people who carried out the attack were most likely supporters, but not true supporters of football. its clear that both man u and liverpool fans here condemn the act, i'm obviously a nutral so i'm not getting as worked up about it. If it was outside the stadium there should have been police on hand where were they? the police should be give smith a police escort through crowed streets seeing as he had what was thought at the time to be a career threatening injusry

I know that, Hence why I stuck in the Juve bit, it all came about from a joke about Leeds fans. Some people just took offence to a mention of Shef Wed.

Late in here, haven't read the full thread.

Given the theme though, it's a pity we don't have 'classy' footballers.

I was at the last LFC/MUFC game at Anfield, walked around the ground twice before the game, hung around afterwards......no hint of trouble. Nothing. ManU fans were on Anfield Road, notable by their lack of colours, which would be normal.

What's the difference between the two games? Look no further than Mr. Neville my friends.

Yeah also not too clever of that guy in the Liverpool section throwing a half-full Beer Bottle at (iirc?) Geremi yesterday?

Although I think a Chelsea fan had thrown a cigarette lighter at Gerrard earlier on when he was taking a corner so it works both ways.

Again with the tarring all the fans.

Has it not been established already that yes, Liverpool has some 'bad apples' but lets jump on the bandwagon.

If anyone thinks that Anfield wouldn't have been left in a similar state had United played a semi-final there, they're wrong.

There were banners about Hillsbrough and Michael Shields left suspended from bridges on the motorway to Manchester from Liverpool yesterday and while the idiots that smashed up the toilet and the rest should be condemed, it's not a problem that's only confined to Liverpool.

Altough I will use your reworked statement for this one...

Nice to see the class comming out in some of the Liverpool fans again over the weekend :D
EVERTON player Tim Cahill was caught up in an altercation with rival Liverpool supporters which ended with a bottle or glass allegedly being thrown in a crowded city centre bar.

The incident took place early yesterday morning (Sunday)in the upmarket Newz bar in Water Street, a favourite watering hole of Premiership footballers and celebrities.

It is believed Cahill had gone to the bar with friends following Everton's goalless draw against Birmingham at Goodison Park.

He was confronted with a group of jubilant Liverpool supporters celebrating their team's FA Cup semi-final victory against Chelsea.

According to an onlooker, Cahill became involved in a row with the fans shortly after he entered the bar.

He decided to leave before the situation escalated, but on his way out it is believed a bottle or glass was hurled in his direction, which fortunately did not hit anyone.

Newz bar owner Paul Flanagan said: "It was a bit of a storm in a teacup. The police weren't called."

An Everton spokesman confirmed there had been an incident involving a player, but he had been uninjured.

How do you know it was Liverpool fans? Just because some guy put it into his webblog? How do you know the pictures where taken on Sat? How do you know that some Manc idiot did not daub the slogans on the wall with a view to tarnishing 'Pool fans?

Really Bluetonic we get it, you hate Liverpool but you're just getting petty now. If we were to detail every instance Robbie Fowler for example had similar trouble with Everton fans, we'd be here all day. ALL TEAMS have idiots who attach themselves to them.

I agree ALL TEAMS have idiots who attach themselves onto the club, but this isn't about ALL TEAMS. Whats wrong with me pointing out what I have pointed out? I haven't mad any rash statements, I simply pointed out what Liverpool fans (two or more (fans), not a blanket thing) carried out. Where the fault in that? What is it you want?

In fairness to Robbie Fowler he hasn't really endeered himself to Evertonians, you'd think being an Evertonian himself in his younger days he would have made some more choice decisions.

Because you are tarring Liverpool fans, on the basis of some Manc webblog. That's whats wrong with it. I could setup as webblog on a Liverpool website, find a few pictures of this that and the other, and post them up and claim it was Manc fans. It's hardly the hardest thing in the world to do now is it?

Your stirring it up on the basis of crap, basically. And you have no proof that it was liverpool fans who did this. I reckon it was actually a bad minded Manc fan who did it with the agenda of trying to get Liverpool fans a bad name.

    So in that regard:

    http://manunitedfans.blogspot.com/

Nice to see that a Manc idiot tries to get a Liverpool fan(s) into trouble, by destroying part of a cubicle in a pub, and trying to pass it off as OT. He also did a bad photoshop job on a Bud advertisment. what an idiot.

The Liverpool Urchins fans group meanwhile used spray paint to daub similar messages about the Munich air disaster of 1958 around the walls of the ground.
Hundreds of "five times" stickers were also used to "decorate" Old Trafford, referring to Liverpool's convincing lead in European Cup victories.

I sat in the Liverpool section on saturday with my son.
Geremi and Duff were racially abused by morons beside me.
Never again will I bring a kid near these people.
I know it's not them all but some of the expletives at Mourinho were collective. A note in the program said the FA will not tolerate foul language.
    Nobody did anything about it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,060 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Yes these people are terrible human beings, but unfortunately they exist everywhere, at every club in probably every country.

Unfortunately, some people just suck. Would be wonderful if all clubs could clamp down on these "fans" but imo couldn't see it happening over smaller stuff like this. Regrettably it will probably take a bigger more serious offence by some random rivels at a derby or something before officials will do anything serious.

What is it with 'some' liverpool fans this season, i seem to be hearing more about these horrid acts this season then any other. And a lot more about Liverpool fans acting in a shameful manner then other other side.
