    Hi Lads,
Im looking for a mechanic thats not gonna rip me off!! I need to get a Starter motor put in my car, I already got the motor 2nd hand from Traynors.
The mechanic guy I usually use wont do it for me, he said its too awkward to fit a 2nd hand one... im a bit worried now!!
    Is it an expensive job?

There is a company in Dundrum village that specialises in starter motors. I can't remember the name, but they are in the Golden Pages.

I'd tell him do it pronto or he'll loose your business. That's a dreadful attitude.

Grab the Golden Pages and getting phoning around!

Emma6606 wasn't your boyfriend going to put it in for you or am I thinking of someone else? If it was you I'd consider putting up a thread in the PI forum questioning whether her truely loves you or not as his reluctance to install your starter motor shows that he might not be into you anymore ;)

What? Would you rather he balls it up, cause it sounds like he might be unframiliar with that type of car.

Nothing is awkward with the right tools and know how

    Hi lads,
The Car is a BMW 316i Coupe... Yea my fella said he'd do it but he's not a car mechanic. He worked on plant machinery a few years ago and reckons he can do it. Im feelin a bit dodgy about it though cos if he messes it up im fu*ked ya know!
He doesnt have the tools either, I was gonna buy them for him.
My mechanic said it was alot harder to put in a 2nd hand one for some reason...
Should I just buy a new one and forget about the 2nd hand one altogether?
