Multiplayer campaign

Does anyone know of any good multiplayer games where you do a campaign together? For example, something like HL where you do the actual game but with someone like a friend via LAN (Preferably not web based) TIA

Just to clarify - HL = Half Life. I mean a multiplayer shoot-em-up game (HL, Doom, Aliens v Predator etc) not something like Starcraft etc.

Conflict Global storm works on lan and online.
Swat 4 lan and online (damn hard )

About the best of whats out now.

Another mention for Sven Co-Op.

However still the best Co-Op game is Doom 1 and 2 and all the homemade add-ons like Hell Revealed.

No co-op for Halo on PC stupidly. Anyway the co-op on Halo was alright but there is far better on the PC.
