If i were to stay for a month and some mess, no more, then where would be good to start living cheap but not crummy? I want to LIVE in Ireland, not tour necessarily. Hit up pubs, concerts and brawl. Some hints of good spots for music? what pubs? and so on

Id say head towards galway cause dublin is a hole. In Galway you get the pub culture thats almost gone in dublin. PLUS your a short drive from famous scenery and there are always good gigs on.
