Nope. Once a place states clearly what its policy is, and sticks to it, it's fine.

What do ye think about masons ?

It wouldnt be fair going to Harveys and have the younger people worrying about getting in so the Harveys thing is gone now.

I heard that place oh whats it called pub down the apple mart , think it used be called 19 or something just over from the AIB ATM Ya I heard thats good.

Here's the lowdown on the above:

Masons: Nice and big, cocktails beers all the usual. DJ. Middle of the road.
Revolution: Same as above, seating can be reserved, food served til midnight. Sexy DJ.
19 - you'll be the only ones there if it opens
Kazbar - Three levels but each one is smaller than the next so if there's more than 8 of ye it'll be very cramped
Geoffs - Well you know this place already. Full of people who think they're cooler than the rest of the world...feeder pub to forum
Wacky Apple- nice and laid back, reasonably priced drinks, bit small
Bowery Bar - Nice enough but at the other end of town
Ulysses - Not the flavour of the month at the moment so is usually empty

Harveys- nice enough, expensive drinks, almost fully staffed by people with little or no english, lovely smoking area (gets cramped and sweaty on sat nights though) over 21s

Ruby Lounge - nice but smallish

Old Stand - big enough, good atmosphere, DJ, not located in the famous 4 corners of power.

K Yes its Easter and theres no room for manouvre on the night , Its defo Saturday night and at the minute its looking like a definite for masons.

Mason's is definiately the best place to start as its roomy enough. And btw Harvey's isn't that great. Suppose being a non-smoker is why. Also if Oxygen is on the agenda I will head home early. HATE that place.

when ever we go out we meet in Geoff's head to the Bank for a few and then to Mullies for the rest of hte night! Wacky Apple is right craic, it's such an old man pub but it's a nice one. Kazbar is lovely, cramped alright but we could reserve the second floor? No?

Le Rack Muldoons is the downstairs bar of Oxygen. A lot of people would go there and head off to another nightclub or stay downstairs at Muldoons rather than going up the stairs to Oxygen.
