Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

ok... sayed is obviously the bastard son of mcgyver and the a-team... meaning he can fix anything and make anything out of whatever crap is lying about...

... but, despite repairing the computer, why can't he write a programme that punches the numbers in every 108 minutes?..

Well, hardware and software are two different things. And this way, everybody gets a chance to be in the hatch every few days. Better than being out on the beach all the time, maybe?

There is also the warning not to use the computer for anything else to take into account.

it's a dead man's switch, the whole point is that the code is supposed to be submitted manually, because if there's an emergency and no one is there to be submit it for whatever reason, the timer is supposed to run out....

not necessarily . You only think its a dead man's switch because you, like most people including myself (partially), think that the pressing the button is not quite what was described in the Dharma video and in fact is some kind of test or there is an alternative reason for the button being pressed manually.

We still don't have a clue what the button does and doesn't do so.
