    Girl in a shop told me the smokes are going up 10c a pack soon.

    I presume she's correct even though I haven't read or heard it elsewhere.

    Haven't heard anything yet, if the price keeps going up like this they are going to create a smugglers market. Like the ones spotted coming over from england recently.

    It's the suppliers, not the government afaik... Gallaghers (they do Silk Cut and Benson I think) put the RRPs up to €6.45 for 20 and €3.30 for 10 and John Players and Sons (John Player, Marlboro, Superking etc) followed suit...

    Think Carrolls are still the same price
