Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Is the w900i available in shops here? Is it much better than the w810i? Which phone would be the better choice?

    Thanks

Its back on www.three.ie from 149 euro - 249 euro depending on the tariff.

    Cheers,

Just looking at this on www.three.ie. I am wary - the specs say that it is not memory card compatible. All other sites say it is Memory Stick Micro compatible. Have 3 somehow disabled the memory stick so you have to use their stupid 3 download music thing or is this an error? Any ideas?

    thanks a mil!

Thinking of buying a Three k800i but have a few questions,

    1) What are the restrictions/differences of a Three k800 vs a vanilla k800.

    2) Where to go, to debrand the phone.

    3) Where to get the settings for a debranded phone for internet, mms etc.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

    1) Can't answer, you would need someone who has both 3 and generic versions side by side

    2) You can do it yourself by purchasing a log, Google to davanci or TMS, or by visiting someone with the correct software and hardware.

    3) Set up manually, or Sony's web site will send you a text with settings for all Irish operators.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately Sony Ericsson site does not contain any info for setting up for 3. Thats a worry, all the other operators setting are available.

i love mine, the camera is excellent, the sound is great for the music if a small bit quiet, but sony seem to value our hearing a bit more than we do.

bought it sim free and im using a meteor sim card (for affordable calls and texts) and a vodafone sim (for cripplingly priced 3g service)

If I bought this phone sim free can I just bung in my vodafone RTG sim card and be up and running?
    What about Vodafone Live/MMS settings?
Do I need to change my sim for a 3G one?

Goto the Sony website and it will send you the settings via text for free.

If you have a very old SIM it may not be 3G, just go into one of their shops and they should change it for you foc

    questions i asked were like

where was the phone bought is it unlocked etc

seller replied:they're unlocked. i don't know what country they are upgrades so whatever country the network got them from. they don't come with a memory card. . the box is sealed so it is as if u are buying phone from argos or somewhere or receiving upgrade

any branding and are you sure its unlocked

seller replied:no branding. and yes, they are unlocked
