Applet / Java problem

    Hi
    Im making a site an i wanted to use and applet that i found on the net.
    Intially it worked ok. However for a certain time now when ever i load teh page the browser (IR or FF) go into almost non responsive mode ... its like the applet is loading very very slowly.
    I do have JVM installed - as when ever i get to a page with applets the sun icon pops into the task bar.
    Anyhow anyone know what my issues is?

    nothing... the applet loads but it takes an eternity and slows and brings moving around the browser to a standstill....
