    English - 58%
    Irish(pass) - 79%
    Maths - 33%
    Business - 53%
    French - 60%
    CSPE - 65%
    History(pass) - 56%
    Geogarphy - 48%

haven't got back Science(teacher correcting and is as lazy as f'ck) + metalwork(be happy with two percent).

Quite happy for my standards. I'll improve english, french, Irish, geogarphy and business(we hadn't covered quite a bit) no doubt. Bit worried about maths but gonna have grinds shortly.

It was the first history test i EVER passed. Teacher is a tit who can't control the class so we don't learn anything.

I did terribly in all of them. T.T Ds and Cs, and only two As.

Time to chain myself to the desk.

    All my results back now.
    CSPE - 98
    Maths - 95
    Geo - 91
    History - 90
    English - 87
    Business - 83 (AAAAAAAAAAH)
    Irish - 82 (See above)
    Music - 79
    Science - 69 (Should have got a B)
Spanish - 63 (Mock Listening was CRAZY, got around 80% on the written though)

And when I got my report, my parents were telling me where to do better :P.
Pretty disapointed with Spanish, Science and Business.

J'aime: No my teachers. As for study, I waffled my way through CSPE and Geo, studied loads for history and Irish. As for the others, not that much but should have done lots more for things like Science (92 in Christmas) and Business (2 off an A)

Gaagirl: Not too much, as most of the Q's you can just learn off a method like 7 c) and 8 c) to get near full marks every time. Also Q6 (Triads?) should be given marks. If you want a B/A, learn those things that come up in the last part of the Irish music Q's, and know your Practical pieces well.

    Don't panic.

Understand where you lost the marks - did you leave out sections/questions?

A lot of the Junior Cert is about being organised. Know in advance which sections you will do on the paper, or have to do. Take your time. You'll be back at your As and Bs in no time.

Allow for hard marking of mocks either by inexperienced correctors or as a ploy to make you study hard.

My mock results were terrible compared to all of yours!

I failed Maths (by .6 of a percent!!), got a D in English, C's in Business, Irish, French and B's in everything else. I want to get an honour in maths, but I'm not sure if I'll get it!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 63 ✭✭GirlsAloud

Oh.. my god... You've honestly got me scared for my Junior Certs..

The teachers at my school kept going on and on about how good the school is. and I'm considered one of the most clever in our year... your mocks results are so good that it's not funny. :(

    I DID SO BAD.
I've done no study at all for my Junior Certs.. and I'm regretting it now.
    I did all honours.. =/

Don't worry about it. Everyone generally gets 10 - 15% better in the actual thing that the mocks. The mocks are just for timing, nothing more.

Honestly, you're passing everything, so you're doing fine. Ignore everyone else and do your own thing, it'll work out.

Ok, so got first few results back today.
    So far I've got...

    History-A(88%)
    Art-A(Wasn't given percentage)
Maths-A(87%)absolutely shocked and delighted, was sure I'd got a D at most!
English-B(73%) :( Dissapointed seeing as english is one of my best subjects. Highest in the school was only 80% though and apparently the papers were marked toughly so hopefully I'll go up to an A in the actually JC :(

Overall though I'm fairly pleased because I didn't study AT ALL! Didn't even bother cramming the night before for most subjects. Aaagh I seriously need to get motivated :P. Still have to get Irish back though. Probably got an NG! Seriously my God, I'm so terrible at Irish, there's NO WAY I passed:( and we have a TERRIBLE teacher to add to the stress!!

So how much study did everyone really do? Are people happy with their results?
