    I've only driven the original one (and a pretty battered example at that!), but I thought it was a great little car!

    I thought the 320d got car of the year, and the MX5 got roadster of the year :confused:

    Yep 320d got the car of the year, MX5 is best open top.

    Really preferred the previous two incarnations of the MX5 though, think they've uglified it a bit!

    You need to see a Mk3 "in the flesh" (you really, really do!) ;)

    IMHO, and as a long-time owner of a Mk1, the Mk3 is an absolutely spot-on update, but the Mk2 wasn't needed (and the decision to drop the pop-up headlights called for beheadings :D )

    I think that decision was made by some safety council or other...
    Pedestrians and pop-up headlights don't get on too well.
