Anyone else gettin high pings playin online games?

i am currently on utv 2mb package..i play enemy territory alot and since about 3 days ago ..while playin my ping goes up to nearly 700 for about 5 seconds and then goes back down this happens every 30 seconds or so and i dont know what is making it do this..any one else ahving the same problem or know what i should do??
