Open up any daily newspapaer and there seems to be a new agency every week trying to sell foreign property but which of them have good reputations? Im thinking about buying in either Turkey, Portugal or Bulgaria. I want to try and get something sorted before SSIA's mature and everyone hops on the wagon and thus shoots the prices sky high.

Not an Irish Agency nor one that advertises here.

Try to find one in the country of your choice and make sure they don't have a link with the developer.

    Local knowledge and independence.

it's because the irsh guys are ripping us off...forget about the guys here and deal directly with the agents in whichever country you're interested in..you'll save nearly half the price..
I know one guy whose wife is from Belarus..contacted an estate agent for a holiday home to buy over there..was quoted way over the odds so they went over there and she dealt with an agent from there and ended up buying a 7 bedroom house for €45,000..needed a bit of work (€20,000) but she still saved at least €30,000..
Eddie Hobb's new show is about these irish developers who are ripping off their own countrymen by at least 100%..
