    hi

filled up the car yesterday. came home, parked it and did not go back to it until this morning. when i got in there was a smell of petrol in the car.

now i am thinking that possibly there was some petrol on the ground so i could have stepped in it and maybe some of it is near the pedals.

but wondering, does my explanations sound plausible or........could it be something else?
will check again this evening when i hop off the train.

Depending on where your fuel pump is, it's possibly a knackered gasket/seal on it, which may be located within the car.. possibly under the rear seats, etc.

A leak, a blown gasket, blocked filter....it could be many things.
