Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cinema and food afterwards or for something more fun - try Leisureplex for bowling - always a good laugh :)

I don't understand the whole Cinema Date thing.
Why invite a girl out and then sit beside her for 2 hours and not talk ?
Sure it's an easy option if your not sure what to say to her (You'll have the movie as a topic) but it nearly costs the same to go to the movies now as it does for a decent meal.

I agree! To me the cinema thing is what couples do when they are going out a while!

For a first date its a bad idea as your not talking at all.

I love going to cafes/pubs in town. The nice ones that have a good atmosphere and there are no "howyas" around!

I've always enjoyed stand up shows for first dates,
they are fun, you laugh together and let your guard down
then afterward you have plenty to talk about.
There's a great improv on halpenny inn on thursday nites.

I don't like the cinema, it's too dark, no time to chat,
and you're just sitting there for 3 hours chances are you'll
be watching a film that either you hate or your date hates.

No all ppl will like bowling, try to sound it out before hand.
Ice skating is always fun. But I think all the ice rinks are closed.

The weather does not allow for a picnic or a senic walk
    so your choices are limited.

    Good luck.

Definitley! A lot more interactive and fun then the cinema. The Halpenny Inn have gigs Tues-Thursday and the Laughter Lounge has now reopened too ;)
