    i hate to defend george bush but those are special binoculars, infra red i think, and taking off the lens cap in daylight breaks them. there's a pin hole in the lens caps for use during the day

    Ok I'll buy that but why is the US flag on his jacket backwards?

    The flag on the right sleeve should have the stars on the right side of the flag.
    No, I'm not winding you up.
    This is done specifiically to represent the flag as viewed from the right hand side with the stars nearest the flagpole.
    The significance is that the soldier and his flag is going forward not retreating.

    He should know that as CIC of the Army. What a goon.
