If he's into death metal as you say is it possible he is wearing colour contacts?

I am not claiming that these "black eyed people" are anything in particular but I have yet to see a condition which would cause the everyday appearance of absolutely, totally black eyes.

You have just reminded me of something I saw in America about two years ago. We were crossing the street and a man on the far side just caught my eye. As he was passing I was staring (rude I know) but the reason I was staring was because of his eyes. They were cat eyes, now he just smiled at me and I knew then that these were clearly something he placed in his eyes to make it look like he had cat eyes. I wounder could these little special effect items be bought and some people could use them just to get a kick out of peoples re-actions. Thats not to say that people with naturally black eyes dont exist, I dont know as I have never seen them but thats not to say they dont.

That is exactly what I thought at first.

Again, I can't tell for sure but he was like that all the time, in the 8 months I knew him.

I'm not saying this guy was evil or anything, he was just a normal bloke (well appart from the death metal thing)

Suppose with out a photograph of the phenomona it is impossible to comment on the possible medical explination

Just reading back through this thread, have we maybe become a bit too focused on the actual eye colour aspect ? Given how important our eyes are for interpersonal communication, that's a pretty easy thing to do, but I think what really stands out in the BEK stories is the behaviour of the children.

Well, one could argue that if the "victims" were upset/disturbed enough then that would colour their perceptions of what they experienced.

Visualise a nice little girl asking for something perfectly innocent. Then imagine the same scene, but give the girl solid black eyes. See how creepy it suddenly becomes?

Any response to this picture? Especially from anyone who's seen a BEK.

Smiling kids are creepy enough without the black eyes!
