I need somebody to create small intro 8sec avi clip based on existing logo.
Project not involving 3D or complicated animation, just lighting effects and
maybe some sound.
Can't pay you but will sort out alternative arrangements to make this worth a
while.

No particular gripe with your spelling and I get the jist of your request. But what you're asking for is a bit specialised, isn't it, particularly since you aren't offering payment. Are you sure you wouldn't be better off buying or borrowing the program and having a go yourself? You'll benefit far more in the long-run. On the other hand, put a value to the work and a price you're willing to pay and I, and possibly others, will happily consider it.

wow, look at two impatient boyoz. As per Briony's advise we have decided to pay for the work and got somebody else involved to have some extra cash for the project
The main person went away for Paddy's Day and without his approval can't do anything. We are going to ring few people tomorrow and see what is the going rate before any money will be spend. i was going to have some news tomorrow

but you couldn't wait , let's slag the guy.

maybe your artistic ego is bigger then your interpersonal skills and you just missed opportunity of getting some extra cash and having that extra line in your portfolio.

Dispute importance of the project , public exposure is going to be substantial for somebody with credit going to the author.

maybe this project is pile of poo comparing to what you do

maybe you could get something good out of this

maybe, I am just lucky you didn't start it. initially there was different plan but after PM from moonboy, we realised that best thing would be to pay somebody to do it
