Me too and I only downloaded Vicarious because it was from their label's site and it was in lossless audio format. I can wait 2 weeks. Haven't I waited about five years already?

Well, I'm refusing to download the new album from the net. I'll wait til I have the copy in my hand and take some time out and relax and enjoy it, knowing that I'm a tool fan and not stealing there new work...

I think it only fitting to make my ten thousanth post on this thread, and in Rock/Metal and on the first day I listened to 10,000 days.
Also, I would like to Thank God,and all my friends. *waves at people I like and Nightwish* Big up, my homies, here's to 10k more posts of crap.

Personally, having listened it to a lot now, I can say I love it. Some songs stick out more than others at the moment so I had better get back to listening to the other songs.

I have listened to 'Vicarious' a few times now and it is certainly getting me in the mood for more. But like most of ye, methinks I shall wait for the official release of '10,000 Days' on May 2nd.

yeah i know. i'll avoid that too tbh. there's talk of ipecac pushing the release forward now, since it's not due till may 30th and the temptation to download will rise as the days and weeks pass by. i have the old demo's to satisfy me until then

tbh i think that day i'll be using my discman for the first time since i got my mp3 player. pop 'er in there and close my eyes. thank god i can get off at the last stop

It's a great cd, but I think Lateralus was a lot better. Lateralus just seemed more...progressive.

You all know Vicarious by now, the imagery is more obvious by them in this than usual. It's just staring you in the face.
Jesus, the two wings songs are so moving. Some fantastic lyrics. So openly emotional it's a bit shocking for them. Pick of the album so far.
The Pot is very oddly appealing to me, quite like it.
I am really getting into this album. Jambi has a bit of a heavy intro for them, cool bits in the middle with guitar/spitting out words style of singing.
Lipan Conjuring is great.
Lost keys stands out, a lot to do with the sample atm.
I also quite like Right in two. The others require me to listen to them more.
I love the drumming and bass on this album. The guitar is very good in places too but has some more clichéd riffs in places than what I whould expect from Tool. this is not necessarily a bad thing, perhaps.
The singing is very APC on this album and his voice has a bit more age to it.


Well, that's what I think so far but I need a lot more listening and mayhap my opinions will change as usual.

Well while I'm still getting into the album I'd be amazed if it was a joke, I mean, it sounds pretty good, so if it was a joke imagine what the real thing will sound like!!!

no, i dont mean the band played a joke, i meant some guy on limewire obviously did it as a joke and a couple of 100people got it off him.........
