    I am 99% sure it is genuine. If you read any of the reviews by anyone that was at the listening parties they match up perfectly with the album.
    Are you sure you downloaded the genuine version? There were fake versions circulating in the past few months, the one that was leaked this week though is more than likely the real thing.

    If it's a hoax it's a very elaborate one.

    ok..I tried so hard not to download it. But I gave in.yes, yes..shame on me..lol...I'm still buying it, got my copy preordered, so its not like i'm really stealing. now that I have that justified.....

    and I'm still on my first listen...
    ah..this is well worth the wait. I gotta say I was really scared that Id think it's so crap, reading the mixed reviews at toolshed
    but I love it...
    argh.
    I'm actually excited beyond belief

    this is taking its time. wouldve thought there would be tonnes of seeds. ntl speeds are still all over the place too thich doesnt help

    Got mine sharpish enough.

    After a few listens there are a lot of similarities (musically) with Lateralus, who knows, maybe this is just a decoy full of Lateralus B-sides and demos :D

    The only song in any way similar to Lateralus (IMO) is Vicarious, which does kind of sound like it could be a Lateralus "B-side". The rest of the album sounds much different to me.

    i reallt doubt it is a decoy...if it is...hurray, we get two tool albums!!lol!

    but I seriously doubt it. It is a huge step up from lateralus, they've definitly progressed and some people don't seem to see that at all.
    I'm loving wings for marie and 10000 days though, it's so moving, and it's got some great effects. I don't think anybody would use such a great piece of work like that on a decoy album..

    Lads, enough with the speak of downloading illegally.

    I'm quite suprised at a lot of people here who should really know better. Kindly read The Charter again, and take notice of the part about the discussion of illegally downloading music.

    The new Tool album isn't out for another 2 weeks, so if I see another thread about it, when it's obvious you've not aquired it legally, I'm going to ban whoever starts that thread. Cop the **** on.
