    Hi All,

Just wondering is there much of a difference, in quality between connecting a DVD player to an amp via Optical, Co-Axial or Other.

By other I mean the these - http://www.sonystyle.ca/common/images/products/VMC20FR_lg.jpg

    Hope I am making sense?

    Quazzy :)

Go with optical, then Co Ax, then that poxy mini jack - RCA connection. Optical is good for sending stuff over long distances, not effected by interference, audio/power.... and the cables are much smaller :)

    Thanks for the reply John.

At the moment I have my DVD connected via optical.

So to set up my PS2 and ntl i'm gonna have to get an optical switch selector
    http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/SW001.html
as my amp only has one optical input... :(

Or I could set it up with ntl on optical
    DVD with Co-Ax
    PS2 -> RCA

My amp on has 1 optical, 1 co-ax and 1 RCA so this would negate the need for the switch.

I'll have to give it some thought...

Put DVD on Optical, NTL on Co-ax, and the PS 2 on the RCA....

I dont think the ntl box has a Co-Ax output. I'll have to check tonite?

Maybe there is a Optical / co-ax convertor

    I'll do some more investigating

It makes no real difference, they're both digits. It's all about the digits.
