Metal/Rock bar in Waterford?

    Just wondering is there any Metal/Rock bars in Waterford? I dont mean weekend clubs like the shakedown either.

    I know that there was a pub on Ballybricken which held Metal Nights every now and again but as far as I know the place has been redeveloped in the past few months so I'm not sure whats going on there now!

    Drohans? Thats not a rock bar anymore.

    The guy that ran those gigs is now in The Kings (Paul Flynns) on Lombard Street, does some stuff in 19 as well. Its all gig based, so itsnot like you'll walk into Paul Flynns and be hearing metal during the week. Here's his gig listings for The Kings:

    Very few of the backroom sessions are have metal as far as i remember.

    maybe try Paul Flynns, now the Kings i think, or the other way around, saw a great AC/DC tribute act in there last week

    There's no Metal or Rock bar in Waterford because there's not enough bands to support it.

    And outsider bands have no interest in Waterford because of the lack of a specialised bar...

    Quiet the cycle.. eh?
