Having finally seen Serenity, I went back to www.session416.com last night and rewatched all the segments. I had forgotten just how creepy they were at the time, and it was nice to see a reference to the events of the movie in there. Did anyone else get into the buzz and speculation that these caused when they were first released? And does anyone else think they'd have made a cool DVD extra for the Serenity fans out there who aren't net-type people? (There's bound to be a few...)

I was really surprised that these wern't on the DVD's. And also that Joss's can't stop the signal messages wern't localised. I really wanted to see the message we got at the Dublin screening again.

Aye, I remember when they first came out. I had seen the Advanced preview a week or two before the first one came out. So they got me all warm and fuzzy inside when I seen them. I also awaited each ones release.

I think they would have been a fantastic addon to the DVD's, but I think the idea of this was that they where something for the fans on the net. So I can see why they would like to keep it that way.

As for the message, it was a shame. I had wanted to watch the DVD just like the advanced viewing. Message first and then into the film. Sadly it was the "post production viewing messages" on the R2 DVD

Are they meant to be silent? (If they are, yes I did have a half problem wondering whether I was meant to just follow River's descent from the visuals only or it there was some dialogue vanishing into a black hole through the combined efforts of the Apple, Microsoft and Dell Corporations.)

No, there's sound with them (and it's somewhat important) - Apple/Microsoft/Dell are to blame here. If you google it you might be able to find a download site that works for you...

Just so you crazy kids know www.session416.com is the site ye are looking for. Its one page, with a quicktime window. There is also download option. I have taken a look at it and the sound is ok on them. It runs through them all one after the other
