Setting a DMZ on Zyxel P-661H

Hi all,

I've been requested to setup a Zyxel P-661H ADSL modem for a DMZ. But after going through the web-config, I can't find any links to a setup page although DMZ is mentioned in the pdf manual.

The idea behind setting up the DMZ is to provide WIFI access to joe bloggs, but to keep the PCs on the LAN separate & private. Any ideas if this will work or is there another solution? There is an AP already n situ, but is used by LAN users who have to access a file sever.

AFAIK, the 661 "Adavanced Telecommuter ADSL Security Router" does not support a DMZ port, the 662 "Professional Security ADSL Router" does.

I just had a look on zyxel.fr, which confirms what you said...661 don't do DMZ, whereas, 662 does have a DMZ port.

Back to the drawing board. Maybe a smoothwall box with an 'orange' NIC and an AP into it!
