chat applet on a website

    Can anyone recommend how to easily put a save chat applet on a website that isnt going to be lambasted with trolls or porn ads? Minimum or no cost.

    A troll-proof chat program? How, precisely, would you expect this to work?

    F**K sake I am tired of answering stupid questions on here. Obviously a members room or just something someone would log on to the site instead of find with any IRC program, I know u cant make it 100% troll free.

    I have used X7 chat in the past and found it easy to install and integrate into my Site. It had all the functions I needed at the time. Their website appears to be closed down but I'm sure you'll find a copy with Google. Failing that I may have a copy in one of my backups somewhere. Let me know If you can't find one I'll see if I can dig it out for you.

    That sort of response to a post that someone made in order to see if they can help you doesn't make me feel too inclined to offer assistance.

    I've no idea what a "save chat applet" is either but I accept I am most probably stupid.

    If your looking for a program that allows website visitors chat with you, you could check out http://www.phplivesupport.com/. My own experience of it is you get zero chat spam but there are facilities to ban IP's etc if necessary.

    No. "Troll proof" does not equate to "safe chat area by means of membership, invitation, banned IP's".

    With all due respect, don't get angsty just because we don't understand the correlations your brain fallaciously makes between to unrelated phrases. The idea behind language is communication and judging by the general reaction here, your opinion is wrong, your tone disrespectful and the instantaneous resorting to swears irritating.

    Learn to phrase your questions better.

    Ok lets get this back on track I apologise for the out burst, search my posts over the last 2 years on boards I very rarely curse or show disrespect, I realise no chatroom is troll proof however I just didnt want a site to me linked to IRC as I have had lots of trouble with it in the past, with time wasters. At least putting a chatroom on a site that may only be accessed through that site is safer then one that can be picked up by any IRC Client that lists 100's of rooms and is easy to troll.

    Your right nowhere is troll proff, however can u make areas not easy to troll or be made in such a way you have to go out of your way to troll, sure u can,
