Going abroad in a couple of weeks and bringing my digital camera with me. Just wondering is it ok to put the camera and Xd card through the security procedures or is there any chance they could be wiped like the older style film cameras???

Wiped? I've had no problems before with XD cards.

You're safe. Over the past few days my MS has been x-rayed five times without problems. In fact x-rays machines are film safe nowadays.

The camera is safe, as is the card.
Looking around on other forums - they report that their PDA failed, etc. (But miraculously started working a few days later. This could not possibly have anything to do with the fact that the PDA was being carried around without due care and attention or anything oh nooo it had to be the big bad x-ray machine. Idiots.)
