Smooth running flash movies

Hey, I have done a few things with flash before but i find that the movies never seem to run smoothly. When i look at some other peoples work the animated action seems to run much more smoothly and sharply. Is it just a case of increasing the frame rate that the movie runs at or am i missing something else? Im still using…

Im still using Flash 5 but i doubt that has anything to do witha n issue like this?

have the frame rate quite low, I never design anything over 30 fps, as anything over that on slower systems crawls along.
