Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I recently had to reformat my hard drive, so had to reinstall Outlook Express. After setting it up again to recieve mail from my e-mail account it doesn't show old messages that are in my inbox, only messages that I recieve after setting it up. How can I fix this, so that it shows all messages in the inbox, even read ones?

    Thanks.

Er, I think that means that they're not on the server. So,unless you backed up the emails they're gone.

What type of mail sever? (POP3?)

    what Karoma said ^

If it's a pop3 account (most accounts are), then the mail stays on the server until it's downloaded to the PC. So if you didn't backup your mail on PC then it's gone.

It's possible to set Outlook to leave a copy on server, but this is switched off by default.

    :D

For future reference: How to back-up & restore OE data

You may want to set the option to delete from server when deleted from trash at least ... email account quota...
